Mary Kate is dedicated to creating a supportive and engaging space where clients of all ages feel comfortable, understood, and empowered. She believes that therapy is most effective when it is collaborative, flexible, and tailored to each individual’s unique needs. Mary Kate brings a calm and thoughtful presence to her work, helping clients feel at ease as they begin their therapeutic journey.
Mary Kate works with children, adolescents, and adults, offering both individual and family-based support. She earned her Master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from the University of New Haven and brings several years of experience working closely with children and families across a variety of settings

Mary Kate understands that each person engages in therapy differently, and she thoughtfully adapts her style to meet the needs, interests, and developmental level of each client. She has extensive experience incorporating play-based techniques and creative interventions, particularly when working with children, while also utilizing structured approaches when helpful.
Mary Kate draws from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), mindfulness practices, and play therapy techniques, while also incorporating elements of person-centered and solution-focused therapy. She is passionate about helping clients build skills for emotional regulation, increase self-awareness, and develop confidence in their ability to navigate challenges.
She believes that therapy is not a one-size-fits-all process and that growth is rarely linear. Mary Kate focuses on building a strong therapeutic relationship, creating a space where clients feel safe to express themselves and explore their experiences at their own pace. Her goal is to help clients feel empowered, capable, and supported as they develop tools to better understand and care for themselves.
Mary Kate has experience supporting clients with concerns including anxiety, depression, ADHD, emotional regulation challenges, selective mutism, interpersonal relationships, and sexual health concerns. She is also familiar with coordinating care with school systems, including IEPs and PPTs, and has a strong foundation in early childhood development.
Mary Kate works closely with children and families, using developmentally appropriate and engaging approaches to support emotional growth, communication, and connection.
