Dear Mindful Transformations Community,

May brings us further into spring, when growth is not just beginning but truly unfolding. The days feel fuller, the sun is a little warmer, and there is a sense of momentum building all around us. May is a reminder that growth takes time, but it is always happening.

This is a time of expansion. A time to step forward, to care for what has been quietly growing, and to trust where things are going, even if everything is not fully clear yet.

As we move into this next part of the season, we are excited to share what is ahead at Mindful Transformations.

A New (and Familiar) Space

We’re so excited to share that our West Hartford office will be reopening as of June 1st!

Women’s Full Moon Circle — Strawberry Moon in Capricorn

Women’s Full Moon Circle

This Full Moon in Capricorn invites reflection, grounding, and aligned forward movement. Known as the Strawberry Moon, it carries themes of growth, maturity, and honoring how far you’ve come.

Through guided reflection, grounding practices, and group energy work, you’ll be supported in releasing what no longer serves you and reconnecting with your intentions in a steady, empowered way.

Breathing for Calm: Breathwork for Reconnection & Emotional Regulation

  • Saturday, May 30th | 10:00–11:30 AM

This trauma-informed workshop offers a gentle, guided introduction to breathwork as a tool for emotional regulation and reconnection.

Through a blend of simple education and experiential practice, you’ll learn how your nervous system functions, how your breath reflects your internal state, and how to use intentional breathing to support balance and calm.

You’ll experience:

  • A clear, approachable understanding of the nervous system
  • Guided, flexible breathwork (with options to pause or modify)
  • Space to build body awareness and reconnect inward

You’ll leave with practical tools to support anxiety, overwhelm, and everyday stress—along with a deeper sense of trust in your body.

When Your Mind Won’t Let Go: A Creative Reset for Calm & Clarity

  • Thursday, June 4th | 6:00–7:30 PM

This 90-minute, hands-on workshop offers a gentle, creative way to step out of overthinking and reconnect with a sense of calm and clarity.

Using simple drawings and guided tapping (EFT), you’ll process thoughts and emotions privately—no sharing required and no artistic ability needed. This technique (Picture Tapping) helps move what feels stuck out of the mind and onto paper, creating space for insight and relief.

You’ll experience:

  • A guided, non-verbal process for releasing overwhelm
  • A supportive, low-pressure environment
  • A simple tool you can continue using on your own

You’ll leave feeling lighter, clearer, and more grounded—with a new way to navigate racing thoughts and emotional overwhelm.

Introduction to Mandalas & Mindfulness

Step into a calming, creative space where art and mindfulness meet. This beginner-friendly class invites you to explore mandalas as a tool for self-expression, balance, and presence—no experience needed. 

Mandalas have been used for centuries as tools for meditation, healing, and self-discovery. Each dot, shape, and pattern becomes a way to quiet the mind, center the spirit and express what may not have words.

Amy blends her 30 years of nursing with holistic wellness and creative expression to guide participants to calm, center, and create from within.

Girls’ Night In: Spring Edition

Step into a soulful ladies night designed to restore and inspire. You’ll create your own sage bundle, receive a Reiki-infused activation, and be guided through powerful manifestation and intention-setting practices. Connect, unwind, and leave feeling clear, energized, and aligned with what you’re calling in.

Therapist Spotlight: Kara Harte, LMFT 

We’re excited to welcome Kara Harte to Mindful Transformations this May.

Kara is a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist who brings years of experience supporting adolescents, young adults, couples, and families through life’s challenges.

She has been working in the mental health field since 2016 and is known for her warm, collaborative, and authentic approach.

Kara’s work focuses on helping clients navigate anxiety, depression, relationship challenges, life transitions, and identity development, while creating a space where they feel truly heard and supported.

Her approach integrates evidence based practices such as CBT, DBT, trauma informed care, and emotionally focused work, while also incorporating mindfulness to help clients build insight and lasting change.

In addition to her clinical work, Kara will be joining our supervisor team, bringing her experience and perspective to support both our clients and clinicians.

We are so happy to have her as part of our growing community.
